At Tefillin Hebron, we have selected scribes who are expert at writing the parshiot, and experienced professionals for producing the batim (cases) and retzuot (straps). All of our staff members are God-fearing residents of the City of the Patriarchs – Hebron, who create your Tefillin near the Mearat HaMachpela (Tomb of the Patriarchs), in holiness and purity and for the holy sake of the mitzvah of Tefillin. The Tefillin are produced using the highest stringencies, under the supervision of Rabbi Dov Lior shlit”a, chief rabbi of Kiryat Arba, Hebron.

Parshiot

At Tefillin Hebron, an experienced staff of God-fearing scribes write the parshiot, while experts insert them in the proper method into the batim (cases) of the Tefillin.

All this is done across from the holy graves of our Patriarchs, and saturated in the holy atmosphere of Hebron.

The Writing of the Script

The experienced scribes of Tefillin Hebron create Tefillin just for you, using the highest level of Halachic stringency, and in especially beautiful script. Along with your new Tefillin, you will receive a photocopy of all the parshiot inside your Tefillin, so that you will be able to see their excellent quality for yourself.

The Batim (Cases) of the Tefillin

At Tefillin Hebron, the batim (cases) of the Tefillin are made only of quality cattle leather, which remains durable for many years.

The cases are produced with the utmost stringency and quality: square and precise, with no distortions or abrasions in the sides or the connecting parts.

The batim (cases) and the straps are painted using quality black ink, which protects the Tefillin’s color and shine.

Tefillin Shel Yad (for the Arm) and Shel Rosh (for the Head)

At Tefillin Hebron, special care is taken for the proper placement of the parshiot into the batim (cases) of the Tefillin.

You may participate in the placement of the parshiot into your new Tefillin, as well as take part in the mitzvah of producing them.

At Tefillin Hebron we prepare the letters Heh and Shin on the Tefillin Shel Rosh (for the Head) using a beautiful, top quality finish.

The Straps

At Tefillin Hebron, the straps of the Tefillin are created only from cattle leather, which is a stronger and more durable type of leather. The straps of the Tefillin are produced according to the proper Halachic measurements, then painted with quality black paint which is durable over time.

At Tefillin Hebron we are meticulous with the precise tying of the straps, in order to create the shape of the letters Daled and Yud according to Halachic requirements. Along with preparing the Shin shel Rosh (the letter Shin in the Tefillin for the Head), we are happy to be putting together the name Shin-Daled-Heh (God’s name) and to merit “bringing God to the Tefillin”!

Tefillin Shel Rashi and Tefillin Shel Rabbenu Tam

Along with regular Tefillin, at Tefillin Hebron we also offer Tefillin according to the Rabbenu Tam shitah (method), as well as both types of Tefillin in a smaller version, for those whose custom is to put both on together. All of our Tefillin types are characterized by top standards of quality and finish, in accordance with all specifications and Halachic stringencies, and produced in the holy city of Hebron by God-fearing experts residing in the area.

Jewel in the KETER AVOT

For those who order the “Keter Avot” Tefillin, it is possible to order special Batim that have been produced with special care and Hidur, according to the Kabbalistic tradition:
1. “Prudot Glat”  – the lines that divide the Tefillin Shel Rosh are clearly visible, as the Rambam wrote. According to all opinions, this is more Mehudar . These Batim are specially produced and painted carefully so that the cracks are visible.

2. “Mikshah” – it is possible to order that have been made from a single piece of leather, just like the Menorah was made of a single piece of gold.
